20/12/12 Getting ready for Christmas so our class made our alternative 12 days of Christmas.
20/11/12 Not in school today as I was in hospital watching my daughter Eleri Carys Roberts come into the world weighing a fine 6 pound 12 and a half and measuring 45 cms!
18/06/12 I am thoroughly enjoying our Stats In Sound project with Community Music Wales; I'm learning so many new things myself too!
01/06/12 What a fantastic sports day we had; flag parade, opening ceremony, competition, Paralympic Champion David Roberts CBE and the Olympic Torch provided by Melanie Stephenson who lit the cauldron in Coopers Field.
25/05/12 It's me with the Olympic Torch! : 19/05/12: Genuinely surprised to look at my diary and get jolted by realising that sports day (Llanharan Primary School Olympics 2012) is in two weeks time! Also, had a visit to the Heath hospital on Tuesday and came back with a very exciting picture! : 04/05/12 After having a brief walk around the school grounds I'm thrilled to see that our new Woodland's Trust Jubilee woods haven't been too disrupted by the high winds we've had lately. However, some of them have been lost due to the army of moles our grounds seem to have acquired! The fruit trees we planted around about this time last year have recently started to bloom and they look beautiful. : 02/04/12 I should be blogging live from Abernant right now but as everyone knows, I had an accident and fractured my elbow. Mr. Arthur willingly stepped into my [[#|shoes]] to accompany Mrs. Price and the pupils on the trip. I'm gutted to have missed out on this opportunity but more than happy for Mr. Arthur as I know he will be a more than adequate replacement and will have a blast of a time. In the downtime I shall be having to take to rest my elbow I shall be glued to the Wiki, keeping everyone updated on the Abernant trip. : 06/03/12 Well, I haven't posted much on here lately have I! Think I might have been too busy on our class Twitter page @lps140club. I'm looking forward to starting gardening club tomorrow after school (Wednesdays 3:30-4:30) as we have loads of tree saplings to plant in pots and the raised beds to attack! This does replace computer club but it is the season for planting and any extra time we can get up in our garden is going to be priceless. : 28/12/11 Went to see the pandas at Edinburgh Zoo. They were awesome!!!
30/11/11 Went to watch Kasabian at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena. It was outstanding!
05/11/11 Had so much fun at the fireworks display tonight.Didn't really see anything as I was too busy running around [[#|lighting]] fireworks. Hope everyone enjoyed it though!
20/09/11 Had a lovely day with my class picking the vegetables we planted in the Summer. Despite the forecast, we remained fairly dry...we were all mucky by the end though!
21/08/11 Went to Goodison Park today to watch Everton play QPR. We lost but I loved every second of it.
15/08/11 Had a lovely birthday yesterday and thanks to my brother, shall be going to watch Everton v QPR next Saturday!
30/06/11 Have had a wonderful week so far sewing seeds for our allotment at the National Botanic Garden of Wales and in our new raised beds in our new gardens!
14/06/11 Is thrilled to have put the plastic bottle [[#|greenhouse]] walls together and stand it up. All that's needed now is a roof and a door.
13/06/11 Had an unexpected day back in class today, which was a nice suprise, once I remembered who everyone was... ;)
09/06/11 Spent a lovely day in the sunshine with members of my class making more of our plastic bottle greenhouse. It is getting closer to completion! It's good to see Mrs. Price joining the bloggers on here, even if I am slightly jealous of her multi coloured blog.... ;)
06/06/11 I had a busy half term most of which involved starting to move house! I've also been busy with the Wiki, making a few changes to the layout of the 'Home' page.
27/05/11 Got to meet Daleks, Davros and see the TARDIS with my class at the 'Love Where You Live' event in Pontypridd. Not sure who was more excited, me or my class....
08/05/11 Spent last evening watching Bridgend Ravens beat Glamorgan Wanderers in the Principality Premier playoff final at Cardiff Arms Park which we won 38-19! I even managed to appear on camera a few times, especially when S4C interviewed my brother live during the second half!
28/04/11 Had a thoroughly wonderful last 6 days travelling here and there. Managed to go to Chester zoo and saw some red pandas, meerkats and walked through a cave full of bats flying in and out in the pitch dark.
15/04/11 Had a thoroughly enjoyable time today with our Treasure Hunt and Royal Wedding Street Party.
12/04/11 My class, Mr. Arthur and myself managed to plant five more fruit trees today. It was incredibly hard work and we still have six more to go!
08/04/11 Got back from Abernant and the Manor Adventure trip. What a great experience for both the thirteen pupils and myself. We had so much fun, got so muddy and wet and I am now completely and utterly tired so I need sleep!

25/11/10 I enjoyed being visited by three of last year's Year 6 pupils after school today, despite them all speaking far too fast!
11/11/10 I have been reminded to edit my blog again (I can't complain if the pupils aren't updating theirs when I am not doing mine!). The old blog got so full that I had to start a new one. Today, even though I was not present in school, I still observed the two minute silence at 11:00am for armistace day. This evening I have spent a lot of time running outside into my garden to rescue bins, plant pots, chairs etc... due to the very strong winds! Mae hi'n wyntog iawn heno!
